Hi! My name's Chase. I'm a bodybuilder and the founder of Chasing Iron. As a bodybuilder, I understand very well that the physique of your dreams isn't something that can be handed to you- it's something you have to chase. I know what it feels like to step into the gym with no plan, big goals, and even bigger doubts. Chasing Iron was built to guide you toward the physique of your dreams, without all the second guessing, crappy and suboptimal training, and inconsistency that comes from a lack of experience and real training knowledge. Chasing Iron programs aren't just a plan- they're an investment into yourself. With proper programming and an expert coach, the physique of your dreams could be closer than you think.
Whether you've never stepped foot in a gym before, or you're an elite bodybuilder with years of experience, Chasing Iron programs and coaching can guide you to your goals faster than you'd ever thought possible before, whether that's through learning the fundamentals of training and muscle growth or through advanced intensity techniques and small optimizations.
My goal in my programs and personal training is DRASTICALLY different than any trainer you'll see. My goal is more to teach than to train. I want to teach you not just the fundamentals of optimizing muscle growth, but also how and where to teach yourself more about bodybuilding. My goal is not to keep you as a client forever- it's to make you self sufficient in your training, to understand the decisions that you make in your training, and to teach you how to research information yourself.
Of course, I know plenty of people who would much prefer that I take total control your training, and who don't want to bother learning more about lifting, nutrition or anything else. If you're one of those people, I'm more than happy to personally micromanage every detail of your training with the same level of care and consideration I use for myself.
So what are my qualifications?
Some coaches rely on certificates. I rely on results. I’ve spent thousands of hours studying training science, applying it in practice, and refining methods that produce real progress. Everything I teach comes from experience, research, and constant testing- not from a weekend course or a generic curriculum.
My expertise comes from being fully immersed in bodybuilding every day. I’ve built my knowledge through disciplined training, continuous learning, and a level of commitment that can’t be taught in a classroom.
My knowledge on muscle growth and bodybuilding is VERY extensive. I don't think there's a single question that you could ask me that I wouldn't be able to answer. And even if I couldn't, I would put every ounce of energy into researching it. Don't believe me? Feel free to shoot me an email at chase.bodybuilder@gmail.com or message me on Instagram (chase.bodybuilder) with any question you have, and I'll be MORE than happy to answer it for you as best I can, citing scientific research wherever possible. And if I can't, I'll give 110% to research it and find you an answer.
Before I get into my background in bodybuilding, I'm gonna give some context. If you don't care, then you can go ahead and skip the next two paragraphs. But I think they're important to put into context why I consider myself an expert in this field, and my motivation behind trying to learn everything there is to learn about building muscle.
When I was younger, I played a TON of video games. It was my only hobby until I started lifting weights. I used to get really invested into one game at a time, sinking countless hours into playing, practicing and researching those games. Reading through wiki articles for hours straight, looking for any small optimization I could make. Practicing with every spare hour I had after school. Every extra gold, every day saved, every little trick that I discovered, brought me immense joy. I've always given 110% into projects that I well and truly care about, and there is NOTHING I care about more than bodybuilding. It's this same dedication that I applied to mastering and researching these games, that I've applied to training.
At 14, just after winter break of my Freshman year, I discovered my passion for lifting, in a dirty, cheap, dimly lit weight room under my high school. I started off by going to that weight room, talking to people who were more experienced than I was, learning new exercises, and beginning to understand anatomy. But I wasn't done there. I started researching everything I could, with the goal to build as much muscle as possible. It started with YouTube videos. Then articles and e-books. Then checking out physical books at the school library. Pretty soon, I was reading studies and meta-analyses, interpreting them, comparing my interpretations of the scientific literature with others, and taking notes on everything I had learned.
To this day, there is no topic I understand more than the art of building muscle. And I mean it when I call building muscle an ART. There is so much that goes into optimizing muscle growth that it takes thousands of hours to fully comprehend it all. But that's what I sunk into it. Thousands of hours into videos, articles, books and e-books, studies, meta-analysis, talking with other lifters, and more. And while I don't have time sheets to prove it, I can promise you I know damn well what a thousand hours feels like, since I have well over seven thousand hours logged onto just Minecraft.
All that to say, I am definitely an expert, ESPECIALLY in the field of making research-backed training programs that will give you real results.
That said, I am not infallible. My goal, both for my own training and for yours, is to be as optimal and accurate as possible about absolutely everything when it comes to building muscle. Not just because I want bigger muscles, and not just because I want to use that knowledge to train people to become the best versions of themselves, but because it is my absolute passion.
But I don't know everything. Nobody does.
“A man is not truly wise until he knows the limits of his understanding.”
Despite my intention being to learn everything there is to know about building muscle, there are surely going to be topics I am not entirely familiar with. But I will always be 100% truthful if I truly, genuinely do not know the answer to a question. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, I actually like it. It means someone asked me something I'd never even thought of before, and it means a potential optimization to my own training. Because after all, my first client I ever trained was myself.
Every coach sees only a part, and not the whole. No coach has a 100% correct training system, and if they tell you they do, they're lying. My goal as a coach is to get as close to that 100% accuracy figure as humanly possible. That is why I choose to always listen to others' critiques of my training and programs. My goal is for both my clients and myself to know the absolute truth, and that is why you are more than welcome to ask me about or criticize my programs or training systems, and I'll be happy to listen.
"The confidence people have in their beliefs is not a measure of the quality of evidence, but of the coherence of the story they have managed to tell themselves."
I’ve been lifting for a little over two years, and in that time I’ve built a physique and level of strength that reflects how effective my training approach and systems really are. The progress I’ve made isn’t luck or genetics- it comes from consistent training, structured programming, and using principles grounded in real training and exercise science.
As of writing this, I am 16 years old. Despite my age, I’ve already committed myself fully to becoming a professional trainer and bodybuilder. I started early as I possibly could because this is the field I want to dedicate my life to, and every day I build even more skill, knowledge, and experience to deliver real results for the people I work with.
Most people have, or had, a goal that they wish they’d started sooner. I decided not to wait. Starting young gives me an advantage; more time to learn, refine my craft, and stay fully invested in each person I train. If you value professionalism, maturity, effort, consistency, and someone who takes training and bodybuilding seriously, that’s exactly what I bring.
