Are you too lazy to read all of this? I can't blame you, it's a lot of words. Lucky for you, you don't have to! Consultation calls are free and the form is located in the Purchase Information page.
Interested in one-on-one in-person training with an expert coach? Look no further. In-person training is easily the fastest way to stay committed to and achieve your goals as fast as possible.
All Chasing Iron in-person training comes with a custom, evolving program, different than a regular custom program provides. The programs that come with in-person training adapt over time, which allows them to match your experience level, keep challenging you, and keep training enjoyable, efficient, and optimal, as opposed to the static, unchanging custom/free programs.
All in-person training starts with an initial introductory training month, usually of 6-8 training sessions. Training sessions in your first 2 months are heavily discounted, as the priority during the initial 2 months is to get accustomed to your program, and to fully grasp all the fundamentals necessary to be able to effectively and optimally train without the guidance of a coach.
Subsequent months usually include fewer training sessions, as once the fundamentals of your training are fully understood, additional training sessions tend to be unnecessary.
In-person coaching options have more benefits than just training sessions, though. Being a client of Chasing Iron includes the ability to ask ANY questions, whether they're about sleep optimization, nutrition guidance, or other exercise-related topics, and receive science-based answers from an incredibly knowledgeable coach. This can be incredibly valuable for someone who is inexperienced in the gym, as misinformation is everywhere in the fitness space, and getting answers to all your questions fed by real science will provide fast, optimal results.
My goal as a coach is not to keep you on my roster forever. I want to build your own skills, experience, and confidence, so that you will be fully capable of training optimally on your own, without guidance.
Through the constant communication, feedback, and advice received through in-person coaching, you'll feel more confident in your training than you ever have before. By regularly meeting with an expert coach, you can be sure all of your training details, including your form, training quality, intensity, recovery, and volume, are all on point.
There is flexibility when it comes to where we train. In-person sessions can take place at one of the following options:
I’m a member of an LA Fitness in northern Illinois, and can provide you with a complimentary 7-day guest pass for that location, but further day passes/membership fees are at your own expense.
Prefer another gym? No problem. I’m happy to meet you at a different gym that’s convenient for you, within Illinois. If the gym requires a day pass or guest fee for me to attend, that cost will be added to your training session price.
Curious about what your program will look like? Check out our free programs, in the "View FREE Programs" tab up above. In-person coaching programs are in the same format, but evolve as you continue to train. They can also be imported into MacroFactor workouts.
Are you a MacroFactor Workouts user? For no additional fee, I will turn your custom program into a MacroFactor workout, that can be simply imported into the app.

Picking the right amount of training sessions for you is incredibly important. Here are my personal recommendations as a coach for how many sessions should be ordered:
In your first month, 6-8 training sessions would be my personal recommendation. Having a strong understanding of your program and of all necessary training fundamentals is incredibly important as you train on your own.
In subsequent months, anywhere from 1-4 training sessions per month would be recommended. I've seen firsthand how training and form can break down without guidance, so the less experienced you are, the greater the amount of training sessions you can benefit from.
Ordering training sessions is NOT required to be a Chasing Iron client! If you'd simply like to pay the $10 monthly fee to have all of your questions answered by an expert coach, that is acceptable and encouraged.
Each session is around a 60-90 minute workout, going through your customized program.
60-90 minutes is simply a rough estimate; no additional fees will be accrued for going over the allotted time.
Each session will introduce a new element, exercise, intensity technique, addition, or gimmick into your training, to advance your training forward
Coaching on intensity, form, bracing, breathing, warming up, and much more
Built-in injury prevention principles and safe, guided lifting habits
Guided RPE/RIR practice to learn how to gauge effort/intensity accurately
Answers to any of your questions about nutrition fundamentals, training, sleep optimization, and other exercise-related questions.
Much, much more!
Program delivery date may vary.
Initial program delivery is within 7 days of program fee transaction.
In addition, a text/email conversation or phone call will be had to schedule in-person training sessions. Once the quantity and times of the sessions are agreed upon, the monthly fee and session costs must be paid before any in-person training sessions take place.
There is no rescheduling fee for being unable to meet on agreed upon session dates. If rescheduling or canceling a session is required, let me know as soon as possible. Missed sessions can be moved/rescheduled into subsequent months, but cannot be refunded. A minimum of 1 hour's notice is required for guaranteed rescheduling. Sessions missed/cancelled with less than an hour's notice in advance will only be rescheduled at my discretion, depending on the circumstances of the cancellation.
Arriving more than 45 minutes late to a session with a previously agreed upon time will result in that session being rescheduled.
